State Police Identify Victim in Fatal Frankford Motorcycle Crash

FRANKFORD – Delaware State Police have released the name of the motorcyclist who died in a crash Thursday afternoon in Sussex County.

Authorities said 22-year-old Michael Peterson of Millville was killed in the accident, which occurred Thursday in Frankford. Troopers responded to the scene shortly after the collision was reported, but Peterson was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts.

Details on the circumstances of the crash have not yet been released. Investigators have not said whether other vehicles were involved or what factors may have contributed to the accident. The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation to determine the cause.
