MILFORD, Del. (Sept. 4, 2025) — Milford residents will have multiple opportunities this fall to receive free breast exams and health support services as Bayhealth’s mobile health unit makes local stops as part of its “Go Pink! Grow Hope” initiative.

The Bayhealth Cancer Institute is offering no-cost, no-referral, no-insurance-required breast exams to increase access to preventive care and highlight the importance of early detection. Licensed healthcare providers will perform clinical exams, and women in need of mammograms will be referred for follow-up services.

“Early detection saves lives, and by meeting people where they are, we’re making that lifesaving care more accessible than ever,” said John Shevock, executive director of the Bayhealth Cancer Institute. “When breast cancer is found early, treatment is often less invasive, survival rates are much higher and families have more hope.”

Milford residents can take advantage of two upcoming events:

  • Saturday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. — Calvary Church, 301 N.E. Front St., Milford. The Food Bank of Delaware mobile pantry will also be on site.

  • Friday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. — Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Ave., during the Thrive Milford event.

In addition to breast exams, attendees will have access to breast health education, navigation resources and other services.

Appointments are encouraged but not required, and walk-ins are welcome. For details, visit Bayhealth.org/Mobile-Breast-Exams or call 302-744-6512.
