MILFORD — Book lovers and curious readers will have a unique opportunity to meet local authors, discover new stories, and take home signed copies at the Local Author Sign & Sell event on Saturday, July 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Smith Room at the Milford Public Library.
Hosted by the library, this free event brings together 16 Delaware-area authors across a wide range of genres, including fiction, poetry, memoir, fantasy, thrillers, and children’s books. Each participating author will have books available for purchase and will be signing copies throughout the event.
“This is a chance for readers to meet the authors behind the books and hear firsthand what inspires their work,” said a library spokesperson. “It’s a relaxed, welcoming event where you can chat with local writers, get personalized signed books, and support homegrown talent.”
Featured Authors Include:
- Teresa Rodrigues –Short stories celebrating diversity in the community.
- Jennifer Richter – Children’s mysteries filled with suspense, adventure, and empowered Children.
- Angelo Menefee – Historical fiction infused with local folklore and cultural memory.
- Claudia Lizzo – Engaging children’s books that promote creativity and compassion.
- Luis Ortiz – Poetry and prose exploring heritage, community, and resilience.
- Sheona Miller – Children’s religious story about overcoming challenges.
- Mia Dorsch – Lyrical poetry focused on personal growth and emotional depth.
- Crystal Heidel – Mystery Novelist, Owner of Byzantium Sky Press
- G.R. Hastings – Creator of gritty noir fiction and illustrated comic books.
- Amber (A.) Derstine –Urban fantasy novelist making science and magic collide in our world
- Kelly Lidji – Occult detective novelist with works based on local Delaware ghosts and legends (still officially waiting on her if this is suitable
- Morgan Golladay – A meditative memoir of time spent on North Mountain and in surrounding areas
- Deborah Francis – a woman’s journey with childhood trauma & mental illness and how her determination, resilience, and hope brought her from the darkest days into the light of recovery
- Rosemary Connelly – Travel memoirist and artist known for Italian stories, photography, recipes, and watercolors.
- Ray Lynch – A deep dive into the importance of personal finances and how they affect a marriage, through a Christian lens.
- John Cirafici – Military-themed fiction centered on patriotism, service, and redemption.
The Local Author Sign & Sell is a perfect opportunity to support local creatives, shop for unique summer reads, and engage with the regional literary community.
