Milford Man Arrested on Gun & Drug Charges

On September 10, the Milford Police Department’s Drug Unit completed an investigation related to the sale of illicit drugs with the arrest of a Milford man. On that date, detectives executed a search at a residence in the 900 Block of SE 2nd St. Milford DE, with the assistance of the Milford Police Department’s Special Operations Group (SOG) and K9 Unit.

As a result of the search warrant, crack cocaine and three firearms were seized. One of the firearms was considered a “ghost gun” or untraceable firearm. Detectives took Bobby A. Pitts, 30 of Milford, DE, into custody regarding this investigation.

Pitts was charged with Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony (Felony); three counts of Possession, Purchase, Own or Control a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Felony); Manufacture/Deliver/Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance (Felony); Possession, Purchase, Own or Control a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited who also Possesses Controlled Substance (Felony) and Possession of Controlled Substance Tier 1 Quantity (Felony).

Pitts had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $44,000 cash bail only. Pitts was ordered to appear at a later date in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas for a Preliminary Hearing.
