City officials are asking residents, business owners and other stakeholders to help shape Milford’s future by participating in a community questionnaire as part of the city’s 2028 Comprehensive Plan update.

The city recently launched the public engagement process for its next 10-year Comprehensive Plan, a document that will guide decisions related to housing, transportation, economic development, land use, environmental resources and infrastructure investments through the next decade.

According to the city, the Comprehensive Plan serves as a long-range vision for Milford’s growth and development, combining policy recommendations and mapping to help direct future planning efforts.

As part of the update process, officials are seeking feedback through an online community questionnaire designed to gather input on residents’ priorities, concerns and ideas for the city’s future.

The questionnaire is available through the city’s planning website and will be used to help inform future planning discussions, public meetings and workshops associated with the Comprehensive Plan update.

City officials said participation is open to all interested parties and encouraged community members to take part in the planning process.

Questions regarding the Comprehensive Plan update can be directed to Planning Director Rob Pierce at 302-424-8395 or rpierce@milford-de.gov.

Additional information, including upcoming meetings and workshops, will be released as the planning process moves forward.
