The Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival will return for its sixth year on Saturday, May 16, bringing a day of visual art and community activity to Grove Park in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

The event, presented by the Rehoboth Art League in partnership with the City of Rehoboth Beach, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be held rain or shine.

Organizers say the festival transforms Grove Park into an open-air showcase featuring tents of original artwork created by member artists of the Rehoboth Art League. The annual event typically draws more than 2,500 visitors, according to organizers.

The park’s location near the bike trail, canal dock, Visitors Center and Rehoboth Beach Museum makes the festival accessible by foot, bicycle and water. There is no designated parking for the event, and standard parking meter enforcement will be in effect beginning May 15.

In addition to browsing artwork, attendees will find a variety of nearby dining options along Rehoboth Avenue and surrounding side streets, with local eateries offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The festival is held annually in late spring and serves as both a public arts event and a fundraiser supporting arts programming and year-round operations at the Rehoboth Art League.

Officials say sponsorship opportunities are available for those interested in supporting the event and arts education initiatives in the region.
