The City of Milford Parks & Recreation Department has been working with City contractors all summer on the new Memorial Park upgrades and, unfortunately, have run into some construction delays.
During construction of the playground, additional drainage has been recommended along the back of the playground as well as building a small retaining wall to the rear of the climbing apparatus. Both items will require a change order to the original contract. Mayor Campbell and Council will vote on these items at the next Council meeting on Monday, Sept. 11. Pending their approval, the City will authorize the contractor to move forward with these items as soon as possible so the playground can be completed.
The five pickleball courts are nearing completion. The court striping, posts, and nets are awaiting installation.
As a reminder, these amenities will be open and free to the public.
