Milford City Council usually meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month… but everyone one is hoping the weather is better tomorrow and the City Council can get their busy agenda.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers and is open to the public. Residents may also attend virtually via Zoom or watch through the city’s website.

MILFORD, Del. — After two snow-related cancellations, the Milford City Council will reconvene Monday night for its first meeting in more than a month — and the agenda is packed.

City officials are expected to address major infrastructure projects, funding authorizations, board appointments and updates from nearly every municipal department during the March 2 meeting at Milford City Hall, 201 S. Walnut St.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers and is open to the public. Residents may also attend virtually via Zoom or watch through the city’s website.

What to Expect

The evening will begin with a 15-minute public comment period, giving residents the opportunity to raise concerns or share input on city matters. Comments are limited to three minutes per speaker.

Among the more notable items under new business:

  • Downtown Restroom Project — Council will consider authorizing funding and review final site plans, including heated and non-heated unit options.

  • Milford Corporate Center Updates — Several change orders and work authorizations are scheduled for consideration involving George & Lynch Inc. and Becker Morgan Group.

  • Police Maintenance Building — Council will review a re-bid process for the city’s police evidence building.

  • Transportation Improvement District Agreement — An agreement tied to Windward Milford LLC and Dollar General is up for authorization.

  • Board Appointments — Council will consider appointments to the City of Milford Board of Election and a vacancy on the Tree Preservation & Advisory Council.

  • Ordinance Introduction — Ordinance 2026-01, concerning a conditional use request for the Lands of Amy Perfetti, will be introduced.

Council will also receive the February update from the Carlisle Fire Company, along with departmental reports covering police, public works, electric, planning and zoning, parks and recreation, economic development, and finance.

Election Notice

City officials also announced members of the 2026 City of Milford Election Board ahead of the April 25 annual election. Appointed members include Karen Boone, Carlene Wilson and Donna Merchant.

Why It Matters

With several large infrastructure and development-related items on the agenda, Monday’s meeting is expected to move key projects forward after weather delays paused city business.

For residents interested in downtown improvements, public safety facilities, development activity or upcoming elections, this meeting provides a clear look at where Milford is heading this spring.
