Milford City Council approved taking over utilities and streets in this section of Simpson Crossing

At a recent meeting, Milford City Council accepted responsibility for the public roads and utilities in the new Simpson Crossing development. This is for Phase IA that is now completed.

“They have finished their topcoat within that phase, and they have finished the utility work, and they are ready to turn this first phase over,” City Engineer James Puddicombe said. “The street names are tough sometimes, especially in the new developments, because they’re not always up on Google.”

Approval to operate utilities within the development were approved by applicable state agencies. The city will now relinquish a maintenance bond to the developer which they held until the streets and utilities were completed.

Simpson Crossing is located along Wilbur Street and extends to South Walnut Street. The streets currently taken over by the city include Geofel, Farmerfield, Isaac and Simpson. It is a new, single family home community constructed by Express Homes. Homes in the community are between 1,365 and 2,211 square feet, with prices ranging from $309,990 to $412,990.
