The Delaware Lottery announced that the final drawing for Lucky for Life® will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, marking the end of the game’s run in the state.
Following the conclusion of Lucky for Life®, a new multi-state game, Millionaire for Life, will launch nationally. However, Delaware will not participate in the new game, which has a $5 ticket price compared to the $2 tickets for Lucky for Life®. The decision comes after player feedback showed limited interest in the higher-priced option.
“We value the voices of our players, and their feedback plays an important role in the decisions we make,” said Delaware Lottery Director Helene Keeley. “Lucky for Life has been a popular and affordable game for Delaware players, and when we heard concerns about the increased cost of its replacement, we took those concerns seriously. Our goal is always to offer games that are fun, accessible, and align with what our players want.”

To prepare for the game’s retirement, the Delaware Lottery will implement a step-down process for Advanced Play starting February 7, gradually reducing the number of future draws that can be purchased each day until the final drawing on February 21.
Lucky for Life® has offered players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a day for life, with daily drawings. Nationwide, the game has produced 37 top-prize winners and thousands of second-tier prize winners. Delaware has not had a top-prize winner, but the game has been a popular option for players in the state for more than a decade.
While Delaware will not join Millionaire for Life, players will still have access to a range of other Lottery games at different price points. The Delaware Lottery said it remains committed to providing entertaining options while promoting responsible play.
More information about available games is available at delottery.com or at licensed Delaware Lottery retailers statewide.
