Matt Meyer visited two Milford businesses Thursday as part of National Small Business Week and signed two executive orders aimed at expanding support for small and diverse businesses across Delaware.

“Small businesses are the life blood of the economy. At a time when small businesses are getting squeezed, this is about making sure small businesses get a fair shot,” Meyer said. “When our small businesses succeed, Delaware succeeds.”

The governor first stopped at Living Well Nutrition, a downtown nutrition club opened by Stephanie Kerns in October 2025. The business offers protein shakes, energy teas and healthy snacks while promoting wellness and community engagement.

Meyer also visited Stone Nation Granite & Marble, a woman- and minority-owned company led by owner Biriviana De Leon. The Milford-based business has operated for six years and specializes in residential countertop and cabinet installation, with plans to expand into commercial projects.

During the visit, Meyer toured the company’s workshop and showroom before signing Executive Orders 21 and 22.

According to the governor’s office, Executive Order 21 creates an Office of Small Business Access within Delaware’s Division of Small Business. The order is designed to streamline support for entrepreneurs by creating a centralized point of contact, coordinating regulatory assistance, modernizing rules for cottage food and low-risk food businesses, and establishing a joint inspection pilot program for small businesses.

The order also calls for faster payment of small business invoices and requests the Delaware Prosperity Partnershipdevelop a centralized clearinghouse for capital programs and Opportunity Zone resources.

Executive Order 22 focuses on strengthening Delaware’s Supplier Diversity initiative, with the goal of helping more small and minority-owned businesses compete for state contracts.
