Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery in Wilmington on Friday afternoon.
On Friday, November 3, 2023, at approximately 1:07 p.m., troopers responded to Claymont Steak Shop, located at 2720 Concord Pike, for an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that two black males approached the victim, who was sitting in his car in the parking lot. The suspects displayed handguns as they demanded money from him. After the victim gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of money, they fled the area in a white vehicle. The troopers who responded to the incident searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them.
There were no reported injuries following the incident. The suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing. Surveillance video and images are not yet available. Detectives are investigating whether the suspects followed the victim after the victim made a cash withdrawal from a local bank.
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is investigating this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective D.
