The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce won five awards in the Delaware Press Association’s Communications Contest, including a first-place award that was entered into the National Federation of Press Women’s National Communications Contest.
“We have a lot of exciting projects happening at the Delaware State Chamber, including our podcast that was launched in fall 2022,” said Kelly Basile, vice president of communications. “Receiving recognition like this is a nice reminder to our team that we are doing good work.”
1st Place: Graphics and Design Graphics – Conversations with Kelly | Podcast Branding
Conversations with Kelly is a podcast for Delaware State Chamber members, featuring Delaware State Chamber members! The podcast takes a deep dive into important topics at the forefront of the business community. Hosted by Kelly Basile, we have candid conversations with everyone from CEOs to interns, data scientists, community, and government leaders, and more.
3rd Place: Web and Social Media: Podcast – Conversations with Kelly | Culture has to be True
Released on September 6, 2022, the first episode of Conversations with Kelly explored the importance of workplace culture. At the table were two Delaware business owners who run companies known for their great workplace culture—Scott Kammerer of SoDel Concepts and Reds Ferris of Ferris Home Improvements. This conversation, titled Culture Has to Be True, was recorded at Bluecoast Seaford Grill and Raw Bar in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
3rd Place: Digital Newsletter – The Weekly Report
The Weekly Report is a digital publication of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. Released every Friday, State Chamber member organizations receive a thoughtfully curated ‘weekly roundup’ that features important business articles, legislative and policy updates, timely state news, and upcoming events.
Honorable Mention: Editing, Print or Online Publication – January/February 2022 Delaware Business Magazine
The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce’s publication, Delaware Business, is a bimonthly magazine with more than 3,300 print business subscribers throughout the state of Delaware and surrounding states. The January/February 2022 issue included features on diversity and inclusion, advocacy and economic development, and the State Chamber’s year in review. The cover story celebrated FMC Corporation’s innovation story and how they’re changing lives in Delaware and around the world.
