Offit Kurman Welcomes Christopher Coggins and Michael DeSantis to Wilmington Office

Offit Kurman is pleased to announce that Christopher Coggins and Michael DeSantis have joined the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office. The firm continues to expand its Delaware presence, which now includes thirteen attorneys.

Christopher Coggins joins as Principal in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group, with a concentration on disputes between stockholders and corporate directors, LLC members and managers, business owners and trustees and beneficiaries in Delaware’s Court of Chancery. He has substantial experience addressing the complex legal issues that arise in litigation before the Court of Chancery, which often involve expedited claims for injunctive and similar equitable relief. In addition, Coggins has litigated matters before Delaware’s other courts, including the Supreme Court. He also has experience handling claims in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution forums. Adding Coggins to Offit Kurman’s Delaware office greatly expands its capabilities to handle litigation involving corporate, business, LLC and fiduciary disputes.

Coggins earned his B.A. from Villanova University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He also holds his LL.M in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.

Michael DeSantis joins as Counsel in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group. A seasoned litigator and trial attorney, DeSantis spent over a decade working as litigation counsel for a large insurance corporation in Delaware. He has extensive experience handling both jury and bench trials, as well as all forms of alternative dispute resolution. He is also a skilled legal researcher and writer with significant experience in all Delaware Courts, having previously worked in the Chancery and Superior Courts.

DeSantis received his B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University and his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
