The Delaware State Police have arrested 29-year-old Anthony Hatton of Dover, Delaware for reckless endangering and gun offenses in Dover yesterday afternoon.
On June 23, 2024, at approximately 12:29 p.m., troopers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Becky Lane in Dover. During the investigation, troopers learned the suspect, identified as Anthony Hatton, ran into the wooded area near Tidbury Park and fired one round from a firearm after an argument with his neighbors. Troopers made contact with Hatton at the scene, and observed multiple signs of impairment. Hatton was subsequently taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries or property damage reported at this time.
Hatton was taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $22,000 cash bond.
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
- Reckless Endanger 1st Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence
- Menacing
