Statewide — Lewes – The 2023 Beach Bus season is off to a record start with more than 45,000 riders during the first month of operation that began on May 22, exceeding the previous first month ridership record set in May 2019.
“With peak summer travel still ahead, we anticipate ridership continuing to be strong as residents and guests take advantage of the convenience offered by the Beach Bus,” said Secretary of Transportation Nicole Majeski.
Delaware Transit Corporation CEO John Sisson added, “Ridership this year is already 17 percent higher than last year and nearly 7 percent higher than 2019 when we set our previous high for ridership. [More]
