UPDATE 08/08/2023 – The Dover Police Department has arrested Jose Dominguez-Morales, 41, of Dover, on burglary charges, following a pedestrian stop Tuesday morning. The investigation began when Detectives learned of a Burglary at El Nopal that occurred over the weekend. Detectives released images of the suspect responsible for the crime to the public and to officers at Dover Police Department.
On 08/08/2023 at 10:00 a.m., a patrol officer observed Dominguez-Morales walking in the 100 block of South New Street and noticed that he matched the description of the suspect. Dominguez-Morales was taken into custody without incident at which time it was confirmed that he was the person responsible for committing the burglary. He was transported to Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned.
Dominguez-Morales was released on OR bond on the following charges:
-Burglary Third Degree
-Theft Under $1500

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at El Nopal Saturday night. The investigation began when officers were called to the business at 11:00 p.m. for an alarm. Officers responded and noticed that a window was open. Officers entered the business and checked for suspects with negative results. The ensuing investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the business through an unsecured window, and once inside, stole an undisclosed amount on money and left. The suspect is described as a male, with a light colored t-shirt, and a backpack.(See Photos Below)
