The Delaware State Police have arrested 53-year-old Robert Franks of Bridgeville, Delaware for the murder of his wife, Cynthia Moss-Franks.
On February 17, 2023, detectives from the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit began investigating the murder of Cynthia Moss-Franks, which occurred at her residence on Champions Drive in Bridgeville. Through investigative measures, detectives identified her husband Robert Franks as the suspect. On February 19, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Franks, charging him with Murder First Degree. With the assistance from Pennsylvania State Police Troop K and the Philadelphia Police Department, detectives took Franks into custody on February 20 in the 2400 block of Dickinson Street in Philadelphia. Franks is being held in Pennsylvania as a Fugitive from Justice and is awaiting extradition to Delaware.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit are still searching for Cynthia’s silver 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS with Delaware vanity tag “YCANTI.” It is believed to be in the Philadelphia area. Anyone with information regarding the vehicle’s location is asked to contact Detective D. Grassi of the Homicide Unit at 302-365-8441, or by email at [email protected].
