Beebe Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of three new primary care and family medicine providers who practice as part of Beebe Medical Group. Focused on the continued advancement of healthcare for local families, these providers are committed to delivering comprehensive, outcomes-based care for patients of all ages with a diverse range of medical needs.

Erin Royal, MD, is a family medicine physician who sees patients at Beebe Family Practice King Street Row. She offers treatment for acute and chronic illnesses, as well as preventive care services. Dr. Royal is a valuable resource for women in the community as they aim to improve their overall health and wellness throughout the phases of their lifetimes. She provides contraception options and education, guidance on long-acting reversible contraception, and women’s preventive healthcare exams.

Dr. Royal is a graduate of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She went on to complete the ChristianaCare Family Medicine Residency Program, where she served in several leadership roles including Chief Resident, Recruitment Committee Chair, and Wellness Committee Chair. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Delaware Institute of Medical Education and Research, and the Delaware Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa’s Academic Honor Society.

Dr. Royal’s robust medical training gave her well-rounded and diverse clinical experience in adult and pediatric hospital settings, outpatient practices, nursing homes, and women’s health clinics. While pursuing her medical degree and family medicine residency training, Dr. Royal completed the American Academy of Family Physicians’ leadership program for chief medical residents, as well as the Achieving Competency Today (ACT) and Leadership Excellence Education (LEED-R) programs. Additionally, Dr. Royal was an active participant in several clinical research projects and served as a resident instructor for Thomas Jefferson University.

“It is a true honor to work for Beebe Healthcare, not only because of the excellent care provided to the community but also because this is where I was born,” said Dr. Royal. “I am excited to return to Sussex County and provide primary care services in the community that I care passionately about.”

Candace Conaway, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner who sees patients at Beebe Primary Care Millville, working with individuals across their lifespans to promote health and well-being. She treats acute injuries and illnesses and helps patients with the management of chronic health conditions.

Conaway is a graduate of the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing and obtained both her Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Nursing degrees from Wilmington University.
