Cold and flu season tends to keep Respiratory Care teams busy, but that didn’t stop TidalHealth Nanticoke’s Respiratory Care team members from pitching in to support TidalHealth’s youngest patients.

On Tuesday, Oct. 17, TidalHealth Nanticoke’s Respiratory Care team donated cartfuls of toys to Brooke’s Toy Closet at TidalHealth Nanticoke. Brooke’s Toy Closet at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional and TidalHealth Nanticoke provides new toys to children in the ER and Pediatric Units that they get to keep and take home upon discharge.
Brooke Mulford was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer, in 2009, when she was 4 years old. After a valiant battle, she passed away in June 2017. Brooke had a vision to give toys to kids in the hospital to make their time there a little easier, and that’s how Brooke’s Toy Closet was created.

The TidalHealth Foundation thanks our Seaford Respiratory Care team for supporting Brooke’s Toy Closet and our pediatric patients.
